Panic! is a romantic-comedy graphic novel pitch influenced by shojo manga and visual novels. It follows Savannah, who gamifies dating to the point of it becoming unhealthy, so much so that it manifests as a visual novel drop-down menu that only she can see.
Will she bi-panic under the pressure, or learn to see dating as more than just a game?
Savannah, a chronically single, begrudging Brooklyn barista, who, in a low moment, makes a desperate wish for dating to be as easy as in a dating sim.
Kai is the bad boy with a heart of gold. He’s arrogant and confident, thriving in a Bushwick apartment with three other guys. Despite his rough exterior, Kai works as an EMT and will always help an older neighbor carry their groceries up a fourth-floor walkup.
Lucy is the mysterious astrology girl. She’s bright, sweet, and goes with the flow, trusting that everything will work out for her. She works at a plant store, charming customers with her confidence and caring personality.
Simon is the reserved, nerdy guy. He works at a tech start-up by day, and restores retro video games by night. He confidently rocks a mustache and is definitely hiding some patchwork tattoos underneath the perfectly vintage tees he always wears.
